Big Love
About the Play
Love is messy, and that’s been true since the times of ancient Greece. In Charles Mee’s timeless adaptation of Aeschylus’ The Suppliants, fifty sisters flee to a foreign land to escape forced marriages to their fifty cousins. Plates shatter, sparks fly, and blood is shed at this violent collision point between men and women, familiar and foreign, and poetic and political.
Content warnings: foul language, depictions to violence, sexual violence, sex, homosexuality, and blood.
