Baylor University Theatre Student Society
The Baylor University Theatre Student Society (B.U.T.S.S.) was founded by a group of Baylor Theatre students in 1992. The society was founded to strengthen camaraderie between current theatre students and create a caring community that students could call home. Since then the society has grown and shaped Baylor Theatre into what it is today.
The mission of the Baylor University Theatre Student Society is to foster unity within the Department of Theatre Arts, provide opportunities for members to interact outside the theatre through social and service events, and to encourage greater involvement of its members in the Baylor and greater Waco community.
The society is led by the Baylor University Theatre Student Society Executive Council (the DRUIDS). These students serve to represent members of the society to the University, foster relationships among students, raise scholarships for future students, and organize social events for society members.
Some events that B.U.T.S.S. members take part in include:
- 24 Hour Play Festival
- Christmas Banquet/Spring Banquet
- Fundraising Events
- Take-A-Dates
- Service Projects
