Stage Management

In addition to offering courses in stage management, Baylor Theatre provides widespread opportunity for student stage managers to gain hands-on experience starting as soon as their first semester. Each year, students take on the responsibility of stage managing four to five of our regular season mainstage productions, two summer mainstage productions, two musical theatre workshop CaBEARet fundraisers, and over twenty workshop productions ranging in content from devised work to musicals. Students are supported and closely mentored by stage management faculty throughout these experiences as they are concurrently trained to develop necessary critical thinking skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, a spirit of artistic collaboration, and a sense of servant leadership.
