Kelly MacGregor
Musical Theatre Voice (Adjunct)
Theatre Arts
Kelly MacGregor received her BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and a Masters of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Florida. In addition to maintaining a full private voice studio, shortly after graduate school Kelly worked as a professor of Voice for Musical Theatre students at Florida School of the Arts, directed and taught classes at Lake City Community College, and directed operas and ensembles throughout Florida before moving to Waco and taking on the permanent position of mother of two sons. Kelly has spent time in Waco teaching children’s music and theatre classes as well as been involved in Waco Civic Theater. She has also led worship for several years on several continents and is currently leading worship at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Kelly has traveled all over the world with Baylor Students on mission trips to Uganda, Athens, London, and Zambia. She has been a featured speaker at conferences in several countries leading pastors, worship leaders, and women in ministry, encouraging them to think deeply about their leadership roles and how music can influence congregations and communities. Kelly continues to develop programs for Baylor business students on communication of ideas and presentation skills, but the stage will always be her favourite place to be. Her favourite roles to date include Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Anna in The King and I, and Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
